#1 Local Landscape Construction
Action Landscaping was founded in 1981 by Walt & Jean Barbagallo. The business was operated from the family farm in Imperial, Missouri, offering Commercial Lawn Care, Maintenance and Snow Removal. Walt worked daily with his crew to ensure customer satisfaction. The 2nd generation of the company began with Tom. Upon earning a Construction Management Degree, he started a crew specializing in Landscape Construction offering concrete block retaining walls, planting, and paver projects. Today, 30 years later, he is still running a crew, doing client consultations and estimates. Tim grew up working with the landscape crew in the summers. He developed a passion for the business, acquired a horticultural and design background, and started working full time with the company at the age of 20. Along with designing landscapes, scheduling project installations, doing client consultations; Tim runs a Construction Crew. Exciting changes happened in 2005 when a new showroom, shop, and 3 acre material yard were constructed down the road from the original farm. As the company grew, Walt transitioned from his daily labor-intensive duties into Sales and Management. He worked in that capacity until passing away at the age of 70. With an Economics degree, we proudly welcomed Walt’s grandson Joe to the team in 2020. His commitment to the team marks the 3rd generation of Action Landscaping, Inc. ! We love our crew members that round out our team! Pedro, Axel, Marcos, and Rogelio, travel from Michoacan, Mexico every year and are away from their families for 9 months to work with our company. They are not only dedicated individuals but also exhibit the definition of “hard-working good people.” Allen is pursuing a degree in teaching; working summers and between classes with the crew. No team would be complete without office staff. Stephanie handles the Chaos Coordination and all the office production roles along with the newest part of the team; Tricia! She is Steph’s right hand creative collaborator scheduling appointments, doing 2d cad drawings, and more.
